چکیده

In recent years, the degradation of Amazon forest has been target studies at global level to identify elements and factors influencing this process. Thus, study had as objective vegetation during years El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) phenomenon in State Amazonas. We used remote sensing data, typologies, weather from 14 conventional stations located Evapotranspiration images obtained MODIS Global Project (MOD16A2), data fire sources Terra Aqua collection (MOD146) platforms were used. The 6 different forms typologies found region also used, addition climatic maximum, minimum temperature, relative humidity, sunshine wind speed state station estimate reference evapotranspiration, using empirical methods Val-1, Val-2, Val-3, Val-4, Irmak-1, Irmak-2 Alex. results show differences correlations between evapotranspiration highest was Open Ombrophilous Forest. Fire foci concentrated Dense Forest areas. Standardised Precipitation-Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI) showed be an efficient index characterize drought events, besides showing agricultural expansion region. largest trends SPEI phenomenon. A better understanding ENSO effects on could prevent uncontrolled loss. Governance interventions involving national financial actors, well local populations, play a role this.

Assessment of vegetation vulnerability to ENSO warm events over Africa

The study investigates the vulnerability of vegetation over Africa to El-Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) events using the moving window statistical correlation analysis technique. The correlation analysis was done betweenNormalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) data fromAdvanced VeryHigh Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) and an ENSO index, namely Multivariate ENSO Index (MEI). The study devel...

Assessment the effect of drought and land use change on vegetation using Landsat data

Drought is a disaster phenomenon especially in arid and semi-arid areas. Vegetation and its production play a main role in the social and economic issues in every country. In this study, Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) data have been used to monitor drought and the vegetation condition in Sonqor Abad in, Kermanshah province.  Meteoro...

Soil and vegetation carbon stocks in Brazilian Western Amazonia: relationships and ecological implications for natural landscapes.

The relationships between soils attributes, soil carbon stocks and vegetation carbon stocks are poorly know in Amazonia, even at regional scale. In this paper, we used the large and reliable soil database from Western Amazonia obtained from the RADAMBRASIL project and recent estimates of vegetation biomass to investigate some environmental relationships, quantifying C stocks of intact ecosystem...

The effect of meteorological drought on vegetation dynamics in Iran

Drought as a complex ecosystem crisis can affect vegetation density and health. Iran with an arid and semi-arid climate is exposed to this phenomenon. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the effect of drought on vegetation. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of meteorological drought on vegetation dynamics in Iran. In this regard, using MATLAB software, SPEI index with time ...
